Mr. Van Dam is a licensed patent attorney registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He concentrates his practice on patents, trademarks, servicemarks, copyrights, trade secret protection, licensing and related litigation.

He is the lead attorney on litigation and registration matters across the United States, Europe, Central America and South America. He handles matters before United States Federal Courts, State Courts and Administrative Boards. He is expert intellectual property and patent counsel for a number of independent law firms.

Mr. Van Dam has written numerous patent applications, including for inventions relating to hurricane preparedness, building and construction equipment, medical devices, sports equipment, nutritional and dietary supplements, electronic devices, software, mechanical devices, safety devices and many other fields of technology.

Mr. Van Dam received a degree in chemistry from Hope College in Holland, Michigan and a Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. He is licensed to practice before State and Federal Courts as well as the United States Patent and Trademark Office near Washington, DC.
