Our goal is to prepare a comprehensive intellectual property protection plan and then to carry out the goals we set in light of the client's needs.
Our patent services include patent applications, patentability searches, infringement opinions, licensing, enforcement litigation and other matters. He personally handles all aspects of patent applications and works with skilled draftsmen for professional, patent quality drawings. If inventors want help developing an invention he uses several skilled engineers, developers and prototype makers to reduce a concept to practice and deliver it to the marketplace.
Mr. Van Dam has written numerous patent applications including inventions relating to hurricane preparedness, building and construction ideas, medical devices, sports equipment, nutritional dietary supplements, electronic devices, software, mechanical devices and others.
Mr. Van Dam works with businesses conducting trademark and servicemark searches, advising, registration and licensing of marks for a wide variety of products and services.
He works with authors, composers, architects, designers, artists and other creative developers in securing copyright protection and licensing creative works.
Mr. Van Dam is a licensed patent attorney registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Hope College in Holland, Michigan and Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University Law School in Miami, Florida. He is licensed to practice in Florida and Michigan. He is licensed to practice before all Federal U.S. District Courts in Florida and Michigan.
